is a very nice hotel… Very nice indeed. It’s a little more expensive
than some of the other hotels in the area, but www.khaosanroad.com
has managed to get some great discounts… And anyway, it’s worth paying
a bit more for a place like this! It’s positioned about 20 minutes
walk from Khao San Road - close enough to the action to be convenient,
but far enough away to be a bit more peaceful and restful. |

This
is a boutique hotel with Thai design as its central theme. A lot of
thought has gone into making this place both comfortable and attractive
– much more in terms of decoration than at many hotels. One of the
best things about Swana Bangkok Hotel is the number of meeting areas
there are – it's always good for people traveling alone to meet up
with other people and you'll have plenty of opportunity to meet others
at this hotel. The reception area has a flat screen TV with plenty
of space for people to sit around and take in some cable, and there's
a shady area next to a waterfall in a courtyard which is the central
focus of the hotel. Aside from other places in the hotel where people
can meet, there’s a great café - Anda Café. |

Anda
Café serves excellent food – International and Thai cuisine with
some Chinese dishes. A bowl of noodles is around 60 Baht / 70 Baht
and Chicken and Cashew Nuts comes in at around 75 Baht. A steak (with
salad) comes in it at around 150 Baht. The hotel also has a fully
stocked bar with a range of cocktails between 80 Baht and 120 Baht,
spirits between 60 Baht (Sang Song) and 90 Baht (Chivas Regal) and
beers between 60 Baht (small Singha beer) and 80 Baht (small Heineken/Kloster).
